I worked with senior photographer, Kate Walton, of Studio Kate Rome to create branding photos that best represent her style. We focused on showing her personality in her images- from fun, edgy photos in a urban location, to snacking on donut holes. The images were personal and were directly correlated to the experience clients will receive with Kate.
Planning a photographer branding session
Prior to the session, Kate and I had a phone consult to plan her photographer branding session. We discussed parts of her business that were specific to her and how she wanted to use her images. We also considered how her images would best reach her client base. Finally, we talked about outfits and nailed down the location that would best fit her brand.
As we chose her locations, we considered many things. First, we looked at her personality and style and chose an urban-type unfinished studio style space. Next, we walked to a nearby ice cream shop to bring in bright, bold colors and a pop of personality. Finally, Kate loves plants so we explored a local plant shop and took some outdoor and greenhouse images. The variety of the three locations created three very different looks, which also showed contrast as she used them on every platform.
Once the session was over, I edited the images. Within two weeks I sent Kate a gallery of 81 images that she can use on her website, print branding, and social media sites.
